At Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste, in piazza Kennedy, the exhibition "How many gloves" opens, an artistic project by Giancarlo Gramantieri and Marco Bravura which has recently been enriched with another work.

It is a large painting on canvas (130x100 cm) with precious mosaic interventions, entitled 001. The unpublished work was made in Ravenna in the last few weeks, after the long lockdown period spent by Bravura in Russia.

The exhibition path takes shape from a work element: the glove, intended as an "object that passes from manual work to the rank of current artistic work" as revealed by Saturno Carnoli in the text that introduces the exhibition, which also collects the literary contributions by Tonino Guerra, Gianni Morelli and Carlo Briganti.
Marco Bravura and Giancarlo Gramantieri are linked by a long and deep friendship and art relationship that has seen them operate successfully, for some time now: famous mosaicist the first, photographer and refined fashion advertising the second.

It is Gramantieri who started his research in 2007, from Longana, in the Ravenna countryside. From the suburban roads to the deserted beaches, from the industrial areas to the docks where ships dock, the glove collected in the most remote corners quickly becomes a evoked representation of an authentic world made of work and life.

A vast, careful collection, which bears unexpected anthropological, aesthetic and cultural signs, where the research work is translated into a photographic project. The gloves themselves rise to the most unexpected role, becoming the original work.

A few years later, in 2011, Giancarlo Gramantieri and Marco Bravura broaden the horizon; elaborate and enlarge with mixed technique on canvas the gloves collected in the path that has now become wide and in-depth; thus was born the other vision of the collection, the unpublished one, which the two artists present for the first time.
